California Vacation!

We had so much fun last week. We drove on Monday, May 10th from Lehi to Newport Beach. We made amazing time and got in around 2pm.  We stayed with Grandma Farrell, who was as gracious as a hostess could be.  The first day, the kids ran down to the bay to check out the water.  They even jumped in and swam to the float.  I remember that seeming so far away when I was younger, and TJ and Erica were a bit scared to go.  They thought it was too far.  But they both made it ( I think TJ ended up riding on Nate’s back)

The next day, we made our way to Disneyland. It was the perfect day to go.  70degrees and not enough of a crowd to wait in many lines AT ALL! The longest line we waited in that day was 30 minutes, but the rest were less than 10.  The kids loved Splash Mountain and Space Mountain the most.  We had lunch at the Golden Horseshoe, which really is a tradition now!

 

Wednesday, we headed over to Crystal Cove.  We were able to play in the water, look at tide pools and have lunch.

 

After the beach we headed over to Tim and Annie’s for Sammy’s birthday cake and dinner.  Erica and Sammy play so well together, it’s like they had never been apart!

Thursday we headed to Disney California Adventure.  Here, Nate loved California Screamin (although TJ would have loved it too, but he wasn’t tall enough for it), TJ loved Tower of Terror, and Erica loved getting wet on the White Water Rapids ride.

Then on Friday we drove home! Quick and Awesome vacation!!
